Since the first Corona lockdown the Vaulting World has become even more digital. We have collected some apps that might be very useful for your training at home and at the barn. Here are 6 apps to manage your vaulting training!
1. Coach’s Eye (not free)
Coach’s Eye is a video analysis app, which helps you to analyze movements and techniques with slow-motion playback. Trainers can then instantly show vaulters what and how to improve by drawing lines, arrows, circles on the captured video/image. You can also compare videos side by side to see improvement and share them.
2. Zoom (free)
Most of you will know the App Zoom, which is available for mobile and desktop devices. Since the first lockdown in the beginning of the year, many trainers have used this software for their online training. You can have video calls with up to 100 participants and 40 minutes per call. It also has a chat feature and you can share your screen, which is quite useful when explaining a certain topic.
3. Evernote (free)
Evernote is a note-taking app, which can be used to organize your ideas. You can just take notes but also create mood boards with exercises, arrange photos, save websites, record memos. A great feature is that you can share your notes with anyone and sync all your devices to have your freestyle ideas at hand during the training session.
4. Streaks (free)
Streaks is a to-do list that helps to form good habits. You can schedule daily tasks and complete them to extend your streak. It can be used for daily stretching tasks or challenges every team member should complete, like running 30 minutes every day, a plank or push up challenge.
5. Teamstuff (free)
The Teamstuff app can be used to manage and communicate with your teams. You can easily organize schedules, share training info and check the availability of team members. You can also share resources like photos and documents. It has initially been created for football teams, but might be useful for vaulting teams, too.
6. Pinterest (free stuff)
Pinterest is a great app to get inspiration and discover new exercises, for example. You can organize these ideas, so called pins, on different boards. The app is available for Android, iOS and desktop devices.
