Venture with us into the heart of Latin American vaulting as we anticipate the upcoming III Latin American Vaulting Forum. Much like the inaugural edition, this unique gathering transcends the competitive arena, offering a closer look at the world of vaulting in Latin America. Organized by passionate volunteers, the forum serves as a celebration of growth, collaboration, and the shared dedication that defines the Latin American vaulting community.

After the successful participation of the Brazilian team at the FEI World Equestrian Games 2018 in Tryon some of the members of the Vaulting Team Brazil quit and so the team had to start all over. Now they have found together as a new team and have great goals for this season! Read more about their journey in this article.

For this article we went to the perspective training initiated by Claire de Ridder to see how the training looked like. Our Vaulting World Editor Debbie went on the road to talk to her and take some pictures of the vaulters. She also had the chance to ask them a few questions so you can meet them, too.

In the Netherlands Claire de Ridder has initiated a new talent scouting program for vaulters who stand out at early age. This so called perspective training offers young vaulters the chance to develop their skills and be able to join the national team. We have talked to Claire about this young talent training!

Vaulting is still a very small sport, but it looks like a new country got into the community: Ukraine! The development of our beautiful discipline largly rest on personal initiatives such as opening a new club, educating people interested in vaulting with clinics, or many other options to make the community bigger and bigger. But can you imagine how is it to get started with vaulting from scratch in a new country? How is it possible to grow such a project in an environment where people have no clue of what we do and how?

The first Latin American Vaulting Forum took place in Bogotá, Colombia from the 23rd to the 26th of January 2020. It was a four-days event organized for judges and coaches, vaulters and anyone else interested in the sport. The goal of the Forum was to develop the discipline in Latin American countries.

At the World Championships 2015 in Ermelo, Netherlands, we have seen an Ecuadorian Junior Team, which consisted of Marielisa Diez, Soledad Hidalgo, Raphaela Garcés, Alegría Cruz, Isabella Cobo, María Judith Salvador, Manuela Martínez and María Luz Carrillo. The girls have worked hard with their lunger Ararat Martín in Madrid before travelling to Ermelo and show their freestyle.
