Overview of the FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final
Organized by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI), the event culminates the World Cup series, featuring the highest-ranked vaulters from around the globe. The 2025 edition in Basel, for the second time at this venue, promises to deliver thrilling performances, highlighting the sport’s elegance and dynamism. The FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final assembles the top individual male and female vaulters, as well as Pas-de-Deux pairs, who have excelled in the World Cup qualifiers leading up to the final.
Who can compete at the J. Safra Sarasin FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final?
The defending champions of the past year in all three categories are automatically qualified. Also eligible to compete are the best-ranked:
- four female and four male vaulters from Europe
- two female and two male vaulters from North or South America
- one female and one male vaulter from all other continents and
- four Pas-de-Deux
All 4* and 3* star competitions as well as the FEI Vaulting Championships in 2024 count as qualifying competitions.
How will the winners be determined?
Individual athletes and Pas-de-Deux will compete in two rounds to determine the final rankings. For individual vaulters, the first round consists of a technical test, while the second round is a freestyle performance. In the Pas-de-Deux competition, both rounds are freestyle routines. The final score is calculated by combining both rounds, with the first test contributing 40% and the second round 60% to the overall result.
